“Since early childhood I have been involved with drawing and painting. Coming from a family with many artistic interests, my greatest fascination was always with watercolor. I love this medium for its transparent quality and brilliance. To me, watercolors offer great versatility, excitement, and joy as I paint my favorite subjects of fauna, flora, and landscapes. Some of my latest creations are several non representational series where the possibilities of watercolors intrigue me even more. I also draw from my exploration of other media such as oil painting; and my newest ventures include encaustic creations – an ancient medium of liquid hot wax and pigments. As an artist, my focus is to try to capture the beauty of the world around us and interpret it according to my sensual and spiritual awareness. Whether representational or abstract, I would like my viewers to find a pleasant sanctuary in my paintings, where they can quietly reflect and discover a sense of relaxation and peace.”
