JOHN DODATTO fine art photographer
John Doddato (b 1949) is a fine arts photographer who has explored various aspects of photography for over forty years. He worked with a large format film camera using the classic darkroom process devoting his energies to creating finely crafted black and white images. His latest work continues in the same style using the digital process. His interested in the natural landscapes has led him to explore the rugged terrain of the American Southwest and to photograph Native American ancestral sites in the remote canyons of the Colorado Plateau. Some of his recent work has been focused on the indigenous people in the rural mountain areas of central Mexico. His primary subject has long been to photograph the natural landscape and makes up a large portion of his body of work.
