Come to the Opening Reception on First Friday, January 5, from 5:30 pm through 8:30 pm, to see Poetic Visions, art inspired by a poem or a song. A View From the Loft
April 3-29
Fifth Avenue Art Gallery will greet spring by hosting A View from the Loft, a celebration of the Art Students’ Guild of Brevard, TASGOB. This exhibit opens on April 3 and will run through April 29. The Guild is where members gather three times a week to sketch or paint live models, drink coffee, and talk about art. It is the oldest art organization in Brevard County and is located on the top floor of the Arcade Building in downtown Melbourne. The Guild has offered workshops since its earliest beginnings. One of its prominent faculty, Bill Shultz, with the help of his students, created the American Impressionist Society. Some members hold membership in the Portrait Society of America as well as many of our local artists’ groups. Beginners are always welcome and encouraged by everyone. This exhibit takes a closer look at the talents and diversity of its members and offers something for everyone.
