The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery is excited to announce our March exhibition; Rare Earth 2012. This is an invitational clay show that will feature the works of 7 talented potters. Gallery member, Rene Griffith will give a presentation entitled,
Creative Photography with Polaroid Cameras and Films: A Lost Art?
Rene, a former Polaroid Creative Uses Consultant in San Francisco, worked exclusively with Polaroid films for nearly a decade. She’ll talk about the history of Polaroid, show assorted vintage cameras, and show samples of the creative techniques produced using various Polaroid films and cameras. Rene, best known for her hand-altered Polaroid “fauxtographs” will also talk about her own photography and travels using a vintage 1972 Polaroid SX-70 camera.
